Checklist for NORI III

1.

Miscellaneous Application (Click Here)
(Please fill out, Print, and sign the Miscellaneous Application, and submit it to the consulate along with the supporting documents.)

2.

Two copies of case number (Third party Bar-Code-page)

3.

Copy (one each) of Three Clearance (i.e. MHRD/RPO/MHA)

4.

One Copy of set of biodata and affidavit attested by Consulate in NORI-I stage

5.

In person: Original + Copy of : Passport + Visa + J1 Visa (whether expired or valid) + Address Proof of USA
By mail: Notarized copy of : Passport + Visa + J1 Visa (whether expired or valid) + Address Proof of USA

6.

Fees : $25 + $2 (Please issue 2 Separate Cashier’s Checks/Money Orders)

Payee Name “Consulate General of India, San Francisco”

Note: Personal Checks/Cash/Credit Cards/Debit Cards are not accepted.

How can one apply for NORI III ?

Depending on if you are (Indian Passport Holder OR USA Passport + OCI Holder OR USA Passport Holder),

Please go through the checklist which is applicable to you, and submit the Application with Supporting documents to the Consulate.

Does one need to make an appointment for NORI III ?

Yes. Secure an in-person Appointment for a Miscellaneous Service application.

3.

Documents  valid as a proof of address/residence?

•    US Driving License OR

•    Utility Bill OR

•    Lease Agreement OR

•    State Identity Card OR

•    Mortgage Deed

4.

What Documents are valid as a proof of US Visa Status?

•    Visa page of Passport (i.e. H1B, H4, L1, L2 etc.) OR

•    J1 Visa (whether expired or valid)

•    Green Card. OR

•    Employment Authorization Document (Work Permit) OR

•    I-797, I-140 or I-20

5.

Can Applicants send the documents to the Consulate by Post or Physical Mail ?

Applicants can send the Application with Supporting Documents Via Post or Physical Mail for All the services listed above (Except Registration of Marriage and Attestation of Will).

Please make sure all the documents you are sending are Notarized.
