76th Republic Day of India at the iconic San Francisco City Hall

A special flag raising event followed by a reception was hosted by Mr. Daniel Lurie @DanielLurie, Hon'ble Mayor of the City and County of San Francisco, to celebrate the 76th Republic Day of India at the iconic San Francisco City Hall. In the presence of Chief of Protocol, Ms.Penny Coulter and distinguished members of the Indian diaspora, Mayor Lurie highlighted the significant contributions of the Indian American community to the economy and culture of San Francisco, and handed over a proclamation to Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy @srikar_koppula recognizing January 26, 2025 as INDIAN-AMERICAN FRIENDSHIP AND HERITAGE DAY in San Francisco. Dr. Reddy spoke about the strong India-America partnership, including the Bengaluru - San Francisco Sister City initiative, and extended an invitation to Mayor Lurie to visit India for further strengthening this partnership.
