Consulate General of India - San Francisco celebrated the 76th Republic Day of India at the historic Gadar Memorial in San Francisco. Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy unfurled the national flag and read out the Hon'ble President of India’s Republic Day address to the nation. Over 200 members from Indian diaspora participated in the event with great enthusiam, including cultural performances.

Consul General Dr. Srikar Reddy and Deputy Consul General Mr. Rakesh Adlakha attended the grand celebration organized by the Association of Indo-Americans in honor of India's 76th Republic Day. The event saw an incredible turnout in large numbers, including over 25 elected officials such as Congressman Ro Khanna, Assemblymembers Ash Kalra & Alex Lee, and several mayors, councilmembers, and school board members, who all shared their heartfelt wishes for the occasion. The venue was packed with festive energy, and many attendees donned traditional outfits, creating a truly vibrant atmosphere. The speeches from Consul General Dr. Srikar Reddy and the elected officials inspired the crowd, making this Republic Day a memorable one for all.
On January 25, 2025 Consul General Dr. K Srikar Reddy delivered a keynote at GITPRO World 2025, a Gen AI and Emerging Tech Conference held at Indian Community Center (ICC), Milpitas, California. He spoke on India's digital economy, AI and semiconductors ecosystems, and the ongoing collaboration between India and the United States in these areas under the initiative of Critical and Emerging Technology [iCET]. The conference, organized by a team led by Khanderao Kand, Founder of Global Indian Technology Professional Association (GITPRO), brought together over 300 industry leaders and tech professionals to explore Emerging Technologies, AI, Blockchain, semiconductors, and more.
Festival of Globe (FOG) organized a spectacular Republic Day celebration in Milpitas, with Deputy Consul General Mr. Rakesh Adlakha in attendance along with FOG Founder Dr Romesh Japra and a number of elected officials. The event showcased the vibrant cultural diversity of the Bay Area through captivating performances and insightful speeches.

Consulate General of India - San Francisco, Indian Temple of Guam, and Indian Diaspora in Guam were honoured to welcome Hon'ble MoS for External Affairs and Textiles Shri Pabitra Margherita PmargheritaBJP in Guam on January 21, 2025. Governor Lou Leon Guerrero louleonguerrero and 1st Gentleman, Jeffrey Cook also graced the event.
Consul General Dr.K.Srikar Reddy was honoured to meet with Governor Leon Guerrero on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 in Guam. They exchanged views on enhancing India-Guam relationship in various areas, including education, culture, and tourism.
Consul General, Dr.K.Srikar Reddy visited Honolulu, Hawaii as a part of a small delegation of San Francisco Consular Corps from January 15-17, 2025. During the visit, the delegation witnessed the opening of the 2025 legislative session and met with Governor Dr.Josh Green, Lieutenant Governor Ms.Sylvia Luke, President and CEO of the Hawaii Chamber of Commerce Ms. Sherry Menor-McNamara and legislators. It also provided an opportunity to explore avenues with various stakeholders to enhance collaboration in tourism, trade, and investment, and people to people ties between India and Hawaii.
As a part of the “Consulate at Your Doorstep,” initiative, the First ever Consular camp was held by Consulate General of India - San Francisco and @VFSGlobal at ISKCON temple in Honolulu, Hawaii on January 18, 2025. There was an enthusiastic response from the community in Hawaii. Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy appreciated Dr.Raj Kumar, President of Gandhi International Institute for Peace, and Sundarananda Das, Vice President, ISKCON Hawaii & the entire Team of Volunteers for making the camp a success. About 50 people turned out for various consular services.
Festival of Globe (FOG) Telugu Chapter in collaboration with the Consulate General of India in San Francisco organized Makar Sankranti celebrations at the Consulate Premises in San Francisco on January 11, 2025. The event included cultural and traditional activities such as Bommala Koluvu (doll display), kite making, and classical dance performances. Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy and FOG Founder Dr.Romesh Japra spoke about the significance of the festival, while Madam Prathima Reddy blessed young children with the traditional Bogi Pallu. Around 150 attendees participated in the event.
Consulate General of India - San Francisco, in collaboration with @GlobalUpma and other Indian diaspora organizations in the Bay Area, organized a Vishva Hindi Diwas 2025 event at the India Community Center in Milpitas on 10 January 2025.
Abhishek Sharma, Consul, Consulate General of India, San Francisco on January 9th , 2025 inaugurated ESC India Pavilion of 25 Indian Exhibitors at CES 2025 held at Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas. The Indian delegation was led by Mr. Veer Sagar Chairman ESC and Mr. Gurmeet Singh Executive Director ESC (Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council of India)

Consulate General of India, San Francisco in collaboration with Art of Living Foundation, hosted a yoga and meditation event at the Gadar Memorial Hall on December 15th, 2025. Mr. Michael Fischman, a founding member and former president of the U.S. Art of Living Foundation, shared insights on the Art of Living Foundation's mission to spread the transformative power of yoga and meditation. The event attracted over 100 people from across Bay area. Shri Harish Kharbanda Consul spoke about the significance of yoga and meditation in promoting mental and physical well-being, emphasizing their role in fostering inner peace and resilience. The event concluded with a group session of guided yoga and meditation, leaving participants feeling refreshed and inspired. The gathering exemplified the shared commitment to wellness and unity across cultures.
The Consulate organized an event on 14th Dec, 2024 to pay tributes to and honour the memory of Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha, a legendary Gadar revolutionary at the historic Gadar Memorial in San Francisco. At just 19 years of age, this fearless son of India embraced death with dignity for the love of his motherland, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire generations. Families of Gadri Babas, Indo American Heritage Foundation, Fresno and other Associations related to Gadar Movement as well as prominent members of the Sikh/Punjabi diaspora in California attended the event. Deputy Consul General Sh. Rakesh Adlakha and other speakers paid tributes to Gadri Babas and emphasized on the need for unity among all religions as taught by Gadari Babas.
On 5 December, 2024, Consulate General of India organised a Tech roundtable in San Francisco with representatives, investors and startups in Media, Entertainment, & AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics) sectors to promote @WAVESummitIndia, scheduled from 05-09 February, 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
