Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy addressed the gathering at the Diwali celebrations orgainsed by the Festival of Globe (FOG) team led by Dr. Romesh Japra at the India Community Center in Milpitas.

The day-long event attracted over 7,500 participants who enjoyed a lively atmosphere filled with food stalls, fine arts and crafts shopping, and various pre-Diwali festivities. The celebration showcased India’s rich cultural heritage with over 200 cultural performances, bringing the community together in joyous anticipation of the festival of lights. Elected officials from the Bay Area were present in large numbers in recognition of the contribution of the Indian American community to socio-economic fabric and cultural diversity of the Bay Area.
