Consulate General of India - San Francisco hosted a community reception in honor of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. K. Stalin at the Heartfulness Center in Fremont, California on August 31, 2024. Over 800 members of the Indian diaspora from California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and other states of the US participated in the event. Thirumathi Durgavathy Stalin, Minister for Industries TRB Rajaa elected representatives in the Bay Area, including Mayors, Vice-Mayors, and Council Members also graced the event. The local elected representatives welcomed the Hon'ble Chief Minister and presented proclamations recognizing his efforts to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Tamil Nadu and California. Tamil organizations, along with other community leaders from various diaspora groups on the West Coast, also attended the event.

The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu commended the Indian diaspora’s pivotal role in enhancing the India-US partnership. The Chief Minister highlighted Tamil Nadu’s initiatives to attract foreign investment, including developments in infrastructure, technology, and industry, and invited members of the diaspora to invest in Tamil Nadu.
