Consul General Dr.K.Srikar Reddy, along with elected officials from the Bay Area, inaugurated the FIIDS event on "Celebration of Resilience of Democracies" at FALCONX in Milpitas on August 28, 2024. He spoke about the contribution of the 5-million strong Indian diaspora and the shared values of democracy, freedom, and rule of law in deepening the strong U.S.-India Comprehensive Global and Strategic Partnership. Hosted by the Foundation For India and Indian Diaspora Studies (FIIDS), the event brought together leaders and officials to discuss democracy and key Indo-American policy issues. Assembly member Alex T. Lee, Milpitas Mayor Carmen Montano, Mayor Lisa Gillmor, Mayor Lily Mei, Alameda County Supervisor David Haubert, Elisa Márquez for Supervisor 2024, Sunnyvale Vice Mayor Murali Srinivasan, Councilmember Kathy Watanabe, former Foster City Mayor Richa Awasthi, and distinguished members of FIIDS and Indian Diaspora attended the event.
