Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy participated in the Berkeley-NASA Innovation Forum in San Francisco on 03 May 2024. In his remarks, he discussed the "Innovation Strategies for Empowering Marginalized People," highlighting how India's Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), especially Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and Aadhaar-based identification systems are leading to socio-economic empowerment and inclusive growth.

He explained that digital and AI tools enhanced access to crucial services like banking, healthcare, and education to people in India. The panel featured notable figures including Charles Duke, NASA astronaut from Apollo 16 (and one of only 12 men who ever walked on the Moon), Mr. Ram Kumar, Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Mr. George Jacob, President and CEO of Bay Ecotarium, Mr. Solomon Darwin, Executive Director of the Garwood Center at UC Berkeley, and Mr. Sabin Dima, Founder & CEO of Humans.ai, among other dignitaries.

On this occasion, Consul General also launched two books:
1) "Toolkit for Creating Smart Villages" by Solomon Darwin and Ramkumar Saturappan
2) "Why Some Startups Succeed while Others Fail" by Solomon Darwin and Shoji Tsuboyama.
