The Chairman and CEO of Microsoft Mr Satya Nadella was conferred ‘Padma Bhushan’ Award by the Governement of India this year. As he couldn’t travel to receive the same in person in India, which is deemed to have been presented by Hon’ble Rashtrapati ji, he accepted the award from Dr TV Nagendra Prasad, Consul General of India in San Francisco. On the occasion, two other Padma Bhushan award recipients Prof Arogyaswami Paulraj and legendary Zakir Hussain were present from Silicon Valley. On receiving the award, Mr. Nadella said: “It’s an honour to receive a Padma Bhushan Award and to be recognised with so many extraordinary people. I’m thankful to the President, Prime Minister, and people of India, and look forward to continuing to work with people across India to help them use technology to achieve more.”
