An interactive session was organised by the Consulate General of India – San Francisco in association with Dr. Dhananjay Tiwari, Counsellor (S&T), E/I Washington for the delegation led by Shri Rajesh Gokhale, Secretary, Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. It was attended by leaders of Biotech Industry in Silicon Valley.

 There was a positive feedback on India’s strengths to lead biotech sector both in R&D and Bio-manufacturing. Dr. Gokhale was accompanied by Mr. Vashvajit Sahay, Additional Secretary and Dr. Alka Sharma Managing Director BIRAC. Secretary and Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad highlighted the importance of exploring the synergies for collaboration between India-US in the significant sector of Bio Technology.
