The Consulate General of India, San Francisco in association with Cupertino-Bhubaneswar Sister City initiative organized “Purab” Festival in the beautiful surroundings of Memorial Park in Cupertino. Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad speaking on the occasion thanked the Mayor of Cupertino Mr. Darcy Paul for hosting the event and appreciated the efforts of Mr. Mahesh Pakala and Ms. Reena Rao in putting together a beautiful event. Consul General also thanked the presence of several elected representatives including Indian origin Mayor of Foster City Ms. Richa Awasthi. He also appreciated the presence of a star singer from Odisha Mr. Swayam Padhi. The event also has promoted handicrafts, music and dance, jewellery, textiles from Eastern India and the backdrop of Konark Temple for the stage stole the show.
