The Bay Area Telugu Association (BATA) organized a day long Ugadi celebrations in Milpitas with participation of over 2000 people. The celebrations included promotion of Indian culture including dance competitions, jewellery, textiles, handicrafts and Indian food. The cultural programmes including plays have been highly appreciated by the large audience at India Cultural Centre (ICC), Milpitas. Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad graced the occasion and appreciated Ms. Vijaya Asuri, Mr. Ramesh Konda and the entire team of BATA for organizing successful celebrations of Telugu New Year “Shubhakruthu” in a befitting manner. They also made the celebrations as part of 75 years of Independence of India. Congratulations to BATA on their 50 years of existence in Bay Area. The celebrations also included the celebrity singer Ms. Manisha Eerabathini from Tollywood.
