The Pravasi Bharatiya Samman was presented to Professor Nilu Gupta for her initiatives over the years to promote Hindi and Indian culture in Bay Area at Uttar Pradesh Mandal of Americal (UPMA) annual Gala by Ambassador Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad. Professor Gupta was conferred this Samman by the Government of India on the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas 2021. Consul General in his address appreciated contributions of the community and emphasized the importance of preserving and passing on rich Indian traditions and culture. President of UPMA Mr. Ritesh Tandon appreciated services of the Consulate during his address.
