During the visit of Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad to Anchorage, Alaska, he met Alaska Lieutenant Governor Kevin Meyer, Anchorage Mayor Dave Bronson, Alaska Economic Commissioner Julie Anderson, former Governor and Chancellor of Alaska University – Anchorage (AUA) Sean Parnell and leading businessmen. Consul General also addressed Alaska World Trade Council (WTC). He interacted with the Indian faculty of AUA along with Chancellor Parnell. Several potential avenues for cooperation in Energy, Trade and Investment and Education were discussed to follow-up. Consul General also held discussions with Chief Executive of Alaska Permanent Fund Cooperation (APFC) Ms. Angela Rodelle on new reforms on Indian economy to attract investments particularly infrastructure development. It was agreed that a sister city initiative between Anchorage and an India city would help keep the momentum.
